- It is natural to get tempted and relish on those fried foods such as bhajias, wadas or chips. But please avoid them. Monsoon can be enjoyed by drinking delicious and steaming soups. Eat vegetables and lot of fresh fruits.
- Even if you don’t feel thirst often in monsoon season, keep hydrating yourself by drinking water.
- Do not use cold water for having a bath. Use lukewarm water.
- Include green vegetables and salads in your diet such as parsley, celery, cucumbers. This help in maintaining your foot hygiene.
- In monsoon, keep yourself clean by having a daily bath. Also, scrub your body with natural scrubs. Wax your hands and feet regularly.
- Women tend to forget their sunscreen application during monsoon assuming that there is no necessity. Please apply sunscreen daily before going out. The sun rays are still there in the sky concealed by the clouds and can cause damage to your skin.

Pamper your skin with this monsoon face pack twice or thrice a week. Apart from a daily skin care regime, you should also consume a rich diet of nutritious meals and snacks.
Smash an apple and a banana. Take one spoon of oatmeal powder, one spoon of dry almond powder and one teaspoon of honey. Mix all the ingredients well. For consistency, add rose water to the mixture and blend it in grinder into a smooth paste. Apply this paste all over the face, hands and neck by massaging it for the first five minutes. The paste should blend into your skin. It will work as a scrub as well as a paste.
Keep the paste for 10-15 minutes and then wash it off with cool water.
Monsoon Hair Care Tips
- As already mentioned, do not keep your hair wet for a long time. It will lead to hair problems and also other illnesses.
- Always carry a small towel or napkin to dry your hair if they get wet. Do not feel shy while doing so. It is better for your health.
- If your hair are wet, do not tie it tightly. Keep it loose and let it dry.
- Do not use blow dry or a hair dryer often to dry your hair. Dry your hair naturally.

Take one cup of coconut milk and add one tablespoon of fenugreek seed powder, Neem (Margosa) powder, Brahmi (Indian Pennywort) powder and Indian gooseberry powder each. Mix it well. Further, add one spoon of Aloe Vera gel. Add grated beetroot to the mixture and maintain its consistency.
If you catch cold quickly, then keep this mixture in a bowl of warm water and then apply it on the hair. Initially, massage your hair with your favourite hair oil. It could be our usual coconut oil, almond oil or even olive oil. Massage your scalp too properly for at least 5 to 10 minutes. Then, apply this mixture to your hair and scalp carefully. Cover your hair with a shower cap.
Keep this hair pack for 10-15 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water. It is recommended to use an herbal shampoo. For further natural conditioning, use rice water to rinse your hair. It really acts as a natural conditioner leaving your hair smooth and bouncy. You may treat your hair with this pack at least once a week during monsoon.
Monsoon Foot Care Tips
Women should take substantial care of their feet during monsoon season. Some tend to neglect their feet resulting into dirty, smelly and cracket feet which looks terribly embarrassing.
- Always clean your feet when you return home from office or work or other outdoor activity. You can wash feet and scrub it lightly using a pumice stone. If time permits, use natural scrubbers such as papaya paste or lemon peels to cleanse your feet and soles.

- Foot soaks are the best remedies to relax your feet at home. You just need to gather few natural ingredients and find yourself sufficient time. Hence, we have given some of the amazing foot soak recipes for you. Foot soaks should be used at least twice a week. You can go for a variety of essential oils and leaves.
- Use natural substances such as almond powder, oatmeal powder, orange and lemon peels, and milk to pamper your skin. You could use these substances in the form of a paste or as a scrub.
- If possible, carry a small handkerchief or a small napkin to clean your damp and dirty feet when you go outdoors. It will not only save the embarrassing sight of your dirty feet but this practice will also help in getting rid of foot odour and cracked feet.

1. Monsoon Special Foot Soak 1 – Essential Oils
Take a foot tub filled with lukewarm water and add into it few dashes of lavender oil, tea tree oil, sandalwood oil and rose petals. If you do not find rose petals, then simply add rose water into it.
Soak your feet in this soak for 10 minutes. You may do a quick pedicure after this or dry your feet.
2. Monsoon Special Foot Soak 2 – Tea Tree Oil And Neem Soak
Boil the neem or margosa leaves in water. Add this water into a foot tub. Add few dashes of tea tree oil. Put sufficient quantity of marigold petals into this mixture.
Soak your feet in this soak for at least 10 minutes. Scrub your heels and sole with lemon peels or orange peels. Wipe your feet with a Turkish towel and apply an herbal cream and massage your feet nicely. If someone is available, then get your feet massaged from them so that you will feel relaxed.
If you follow this quick pedicure at least once a week, you will feel relaxed for the entire week ahead.
3. Monsoon Special Foot Massage

- If it is raining heavily, do not go out without any valid reason.
- If your clothes are not dried, avoid wearing. Our denim jeans does not get dried easily during monsoon. Avoid wearing such heavy clothes. Use capris or shorts while going out unless it is a formal occasion.
- If there are mosquitoes in your area, then apply mosquito replant on the skin and take all the necessary precautions to avoid sickness.
- In case of chronic fever and cough, consult a doctor immediately.
- Do not eat or drink at hotels, stalls or outside.
- If you are travelling, carry a packet of biscuits or home-made food to avoid eating outside food.
