Fendi Celebrates Baguette 26424 Re-Edition in NYC With Blake Lively and Olivia Wilde

Fendi launched the Baguette 26424 Re-Edition at its Madison Avenue flagship on Tuesday, May 20, 2026, drawing Blake Lively, Olivia Wilde, Ivy Getty, Ella Hunt, Deacon Reese Phillippe, Delilah Belle Hamlin, Lux Pascal and Ayra Starr to mark Maria Grazia Chiuri’s first collection for the Italian house. The brand also opened its first Baguette Lab at the New York store, a restoration service for new and vintage Baguette bags that signals Fendi’s formal entry into the luxury repair and resale market.

What the Baguette 26424 Re-Edition Brings Back

The collection includes 20 variations pulled directly from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s inaugural Fendi couture show in Rome and her Fall/Winter 2026-27 ready-to-wear debut. The name references the original 1997 style code, 26424, assigned to the very first Baguette, the small underarm bag that defined accessories culture in the late 1990s.

Construction is softer than recent iterations, and the proportions sit closer to the body for genuine under-arm wear. Each piece carries a dedicated Re-Edition metal tag. The bags ship in custom wooden boxes with stencil detailing, secured by a canvas belt and a metal buckle, packaging deliberately styled as a collectible object.

Fendi shot the campaign with photographer Jo Ann Callis under the tagline “The world they carry in their bag is their true selves.” The house has tracked strong commercial momentum into 2026, appearing on Lyst’s Q1 2026 hottest luxury brands ranking. The full lineup is listed on Fendi’s Baguette 26424 Re-Editions collection page.

The Baguette Lab: A Restoration Service for Old and New

The inaugural Baguette Lab opened alongside the launch at 598 Madison Avenue. The service covers restoration on newly purchased Baguettes and on vintage pieces from any era of the bag’s three-decade history. The move positions Fendi inside the growing authenticated repair and resale economy, a category producing luxury resale market rankings across major platforms and a fast-expanding set of luxury bag rental and resale services.

Olivia Wilde, who attended in a black Fendi look, addressed the resale angle directly. “I love that they acknowledge people are finding these in great condition and valuing them,” she said at the flagship. “I think embracing the secondhand market is really smart from a business perspective.”

Celebrity Looks and Reactions on Madison Avenue

Blake Lively arrived in dark wash straight-leg jeans, a black scoop-neck tank and a beige trenchcoat with black buttons, carrying a crystal-studded black Fendi Baguette and wearing Fendi Fall 2026 pumps. The appearance lined up with a wider wave of celebrity accessory moments driving luxury sales in May.

Delilah Belle Hamlin tied the launch to her own Fendi memory. “When I think of Fendi, I think of going through my mom’s closet as a young girl, just exploring and finding the coolest Baguettes,” she said.

Lux Pascal framed the bag’s cultural role for a new generation of buyers. “It symbolizes women becoming professional in the city, being able to afford their lives here,” she said. Ivy Getty, Ella Hunt, Deacon Reese Phillippe and Nigerian singer Ayra Starr also attended.

Where to Buy and Global Rollout

Fourteen of the 20 Baguette 26424 Re-Edition variants are available at Fendi’s 57th Street boutique in New York and at the Shanghai IFC store. Six styles are Milan exclusives, sold only at the Palazzo Fendi Montenapoleone flagship since April 17, 2026. The full collection is listed on the Fendi Baguette collection page at fendi.com.

The Milan rollout, staged inside Palazzo Fendi during Salone del Mobile 2026, marked the first Milan Design Week debut of a Chiuri-era Fendi product. The New York event extends a busy month of luxury activations in the city, following Louis Vuitton’s Frick Collection show in NYC and parallel launches around Balenciaga x Manolo Blahnik launch this month and Cartier’s high jewelry collection.

The next major Fendi moment lands July 9, 2026, when Maria Grazia Chiuri stages her couture presentation in Rome.
