Meshki launches its first dedicated swimwear capsule in six years on May 20, 2026, ending a hiatus that has been in place since 2020. The Sydney-based label is releasing the line as part of its broader “Elsewhere” Resort 2026 collection on meshki.us and meshki.com.au, with 32 swim styles priced from $55 for bottoms up to $95 for tops. The release marks Meshki’s most significant product-category overhaul in years and arrives as the global swimwear market is forecast to grow to $27.67 billion in 2026.

Launch Details
The capsule drops May 20 across Meshki’s US and Australian e-commerce sites, with bikini bottoms starting at $55 and tops ranging from $69 to $95. The 32-piece Meshki swim collection sits inside the brand’s larger “Elsewhere” Resort 2026 release, which also includes crochet gowns, cotton dresses, and resort separates. According to WWD, which first reported the news exclusively, the swimwear line is the brand’s first since 2020.
Meshki has not previously published a standalone swim capsule of this scale. Industry observers will see the relaunch as a test of whether direct-to-consumer Australian labels can compete in a category dominated by US heritage swim brands and luxury collaborations.
Design and Technical Specifications
The line uses premium Italian fabric manufacturer Carvico performance textiles, which are widely used in high-end swimwear for their chlorine resistance, recovery, and color retention. The Carvico choice signals an intent to compete on technical performance rather than fast-fashion price points.
Key construction details include:
- Adjustable underwire architecture: Meshki’s first cup-size shopping system, with bands engineered to fit across multiple cup sizes.
- Convertible one-pieces: Styles designed to double as bodysuits, made to layer over a denim revival staple or linen separates.
- Beach-to-evening separates: Pieces built to transition out of the water and into ready-to-wear styling.
- Embellishment: Floral motifs, custom botanical prints, shell charms, embroidery, and hand-beading across the range.
Brand Strategy: Rebuilding From the Ground Up
Meshki worked with a specialist external swimwear designer for the first time in the brand’s history, according to WWD. The collaboration produced the new cup architecture and adjustable fit system.
“This was the first time since 2020 that we really took time to rethink the category and rebuild it from the ground up,” said Courtney Judd, Meshki’s head of brand marketing, in a statement to WWD.
Judd told WWD the team spent months on cup architecture, adjustable fit, and silhouette development. The brand has positioned the launch around confidence and fit rather than seasonal trend-chasing — a deliberate distance from the disposable cycle that drives much of online swimwear.
Size Range and Inclusivity
The capsule runs from XXS to 3XL with cup-size shopping built into the underwire styles. The size span places Meshki in line with size-inclusive launches like Lizzo’s Yitty swimwear drop at Fabletics earlier this year. Meshki ran multiple fit-testing rounds across the size range before signing off on production.
Meshki’s Market Position
Meshki was founded in 2013 in Sydney by Natalie Khoei and Shadi Kord with $200 in starting capital. The brand name means “black” in Farsi. In the 2024/25 financial year, the company reported AUD $183 million (approximately $131 million USD) in revenue, up from AUD $121 million the prior year, according to figures cited by WWD.
The brand counts more than 4 million Instagram followers, ships to over 190 countries, and generates roughly half of its sales through social platforms. Those numbers position Meshki as one of the largest Australian-founded DTC apparel brands now actively scaling in the US market.
Swimwear Market Context
The launch lands inside a swimwear market projected to grow from $25.77 billion in 2025 to $27.67 billion in 2026, according to a forecast from global swimwear market analyst The Business Research Company. DTC brands now hold approximately 24% of online swimwear share.
Versatility is the defining 2026 swim trend, with brands building pieces that transition from beach to ready-to-wear. The pattern is visible across the year’s biggest launches, including the Burberry x Hunza G swimwear partnership, the nostalgia-driven Roxy x Juicy Couture Y2K swimwear capsule, and the resort-focused Tory Burch Splash collection. Luxury houses are pushing in the same direction with releases like Dior Dioriviera 2026 under Jonathan Anderson.
For shoppers building out a complete resort look, the Meshki capsule pairs with two of the season’s biggest accessory stories: the resurgent wedge sandal trend and the translucent jelly tote bags dominating summer 2026 styling.
The Meshki “Elsewhere” Resort 2026 swimwear capsule launches at meshki.us on May 20, 2026.
